UNCOMMON VICTORY THROUGH UNCOMMON FAITH

What is Faith?
Faith is simply God-personified.
The first thought of faith brings to memory the creation story. How the world was created out of nothing. The totality of everything we have in all the planets, the galaxies and everything you could ever imagine was created by God through his spoken word. He calls those things which are not as if they were, that is faith! I am God, I change not could be changed into I am faith I change not. Also, as a person I am faith. There was a time when I was not in existence, there is a present time that am now in existence and there is a distance time in the future where I will forever exist. The reality of eternal existence is faith.
What is uncommon faith?
The above question could be reframe as, what is uncommon God? In reality there is nothing like common or uncommon faith. All expressions of faith are same in the eyes of God. For this class, we will differentiate the expressions of faith using the following yardsticks:
1. Who manifested the faith? The name of the person who through faith or through God achieves something is used.
The faith of Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Esther, Ruth, Stephen, Paul, Joshua, etc
2. The number of people affected by the manifestation of such faith?
The 5000 thousands that were fed, the four thousand that was fed, Esther and the whole Israelites saved in Shushan after the decree of extinction, etc
3. The place where faith is being manifested?
The faith of Daniel in Babylon, the faith of Jesus Christ at the garden, the faith of Phillip in Samaria, etc
There are other yardsticks or differencing method that can used to differentiate the expressions of faith but we will stop at this juncture here.
How to make uncommon faith achieve uncommon Victory
James 2:17 ‘Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.’
The story of the town that gathered to pray for rain after months of drought is surprising because at the prayer venue, only a young boy came with an umbrella. The boy added work, which is exemplified in the umbrella he carried. He reasoned that after the prayer the rain will start and he will need an umbrella.
The indispensability of adding work to our faith cannot be over emphasized.
For God to make the woman, he had to wait until Adam sleep. Kindly consider the time, tenacity and the whole process of creating the world’s most delicate product ‘a woman’ and then you understand the work God added to himself.
Work is more than wishing, anybody can wish but you need to go beyond that
Work is more than opening a door, anybody can open a door but you have to do more than that
Work is more than running, anybody can run but you need to do more than run
Work is more than keeping, anybody can keep things but you need to do more than run
Work is engaging in activity that shows you believe God to do what you have prayed for. Work is being a Christian anywhere you are because God expects that of you.
In summary, Faith starts from F - Father stayed on I - Immanuel and ends at H - Holy Spirit.
