MY CHURCH PORTING STORY 001

Of lately, I have being doing church window shopping and church porting. In a particular church I went, the pastor was the oldest man (the pastor should be in his fifties at most), and I simply ask, which church does the aged worship now?
But in all my church porting, one thing was common, the choirs don't cover their hair; it is as if they are there to show us their attachment but I must confess their outfits are always sparkling. In one church, the pastor's wife did not cover her hair, well her attachment was lovely and curly and her red gown was smashing.
Well in all, I am left to ponder and think but my seeking mind remembers that the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 11 vs 10 "For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels" and before you quote verse 15 of same scriptures, these my beautiful choristers and pastor's wife are using attachments ooo.
My greatest fear is this: We have lovely and thunderous worship sessions and some of the ladies that come to church like me have their head covered hoping that the Angels of God will come visiting and we will be blessed but if the people that are to lead us into God's presence are not abiding by the code accepted by the Angels of God, how will God bless
the worshippers that are in the sanctuary?
Or perhaps the Angels of God code of conduct has changed? I guess not because God says, I am God and I change not.
Well it is another Sunday and my church porting and window shopping continues. I hope beyond the loud music and stepping in church, the Angel of God will come visiting and the church will be another bethel for me...

FUNKY FRIDAY

When a funky friday turns to fever.
It always starts with a TGIF, a slowly and lovely day.
You know we are all expected t  it starts with a normal approach after all we are all expected to be kind, nice, polite and careful on friday. No one talk too much, acts excessively and everyone try to be perfect because it is a funky friday and fun are to be filled.
Sometimes for the non-social friend as he his call; he tries to do somethings out of the ordinary so as to appear social and not be the odd one out.
You have to be careful especially on friday when you have so much to keep and you have a lot of principle to guard. The funkiness, funniness of the day have spoiled so many futures.
With the advent of TGIF and it's many definitions, there is a high tendency to always get in the groove and never look back, enjoy your life, spoil yourself, etc. Fridays are the days that the entertainment industries and nite clubs business boom.
When you take a position of anti-funkiness and especially a position against fornication, you have to be careful about these funky fridays. A mathematical friend that decides to calculate the funkiness soon got burnt without repairs.
Temptation don't come on face value but starts deep in the heart. When you start tripping for that cultured colleagues and you suddenly find out she has everything either you spouse or your spouse to be does not have then you have to be careful because it is a slow fade and Satan hit when you least expect. Perhaps you have all the maths in your head that you can never go from having fun on a funky friday to becoming a fornicator, then please rethink OR from an exciting outing to an extra marital affair, also please think again.
Devil never comes in head with two horns, black garment and a tail but rather dress like an angel of light. You might say, I don't get emotional, I am social, I know my limit, I can handle something ... perhaps you need a chat with Samson again. You know sometimes the temptation don't start from your strength area but from your place of weakness.
Perhaps you thought it was just a funky Friday and a little cool fruit juice won't be bad but unknown it has a little mixture of alcohol. You thought before the hand shake turns to hugs, to caress and pecking you would be able to defend yourself and flee but the first tease was a deep French kiss and before you know it emotion has taken you to cloud 9 and then you are speaking in love  and by day break you are already trapped in the closet.
Though we might not know all things but we can so pray deliver us from temptation and may the temptation to sin never meet with opportunity to sin in our life. There are clouds of temptation that becloud our ways and days and we cannot be able to name them all but we could say the lord's prayer - 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil'

Stay funky this Friday but don't drop into fornication.
Have an exciting evening buy don't fall into extramarital affair.
