It is
called a Wednesday, to some it is a wedding day, to others a welding day, to
others a welding day. Some even believes it means wed-next-day.
The week is
believed to start on Sunday and Wednesday is the mid week day. For the workers
that start their day count on Monday, Wednesday is also the mid week day; to crown
it all some churches called their Wednesday service mid week service.
Wednesday
is a representative of mid life also. When we get to work on Wednesday we are suppose
to rethink our Monday goals. If we are on the actualisation path we continue
but if not we rethink and take corrective steps were necessary. As we ponder on
the week we need to ponder on our life. When we get mid part of our life (or perhaps
you are approaching or had even past your mid years) we need to ponder on the
goals we set in the earlier days of our lives. Have you achieved or are you achieving
your life goals?
It is good to
take a break and ponder on this now before your get to the end of your life and
cry in regret that your whole life has been wasted. Take corrective steps if necessary
or continue on your goal actualisation path if you are already on track.
To those
that are asking themselves on which goals to pursue in life, listed below are
some of the life’s goals that our creator has set for us to achieve:
‘... Be
fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion ...’
Genesis 1: 28
‘... Fear
God and keep his commandment for this is the whole duty of man.’ Ecclesiastes
12: 13
‘... Go ye
into the entire world and preach the gospel to every creature...’ Mark 16:15-16
‘Man goes
forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening’ Psalms 104:23
‘... but on
the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the
LORD’ Exodus 35:2
'Remember
now thy Creator in the days of thy youth...' Ecclesiastes 12: 1
Successful
people harmonised these broad goals into simple specific goals and pursue them
vigorously within the time frame of their life. As we go on this wonderful Wednesday,
let remember to ponder a little bit on the path of our lives.
Are we on
life’s goal actualisation path?
Have we set
any goal for our lives?
Have we take
corrective actions were necessary?
