THE VOICE OF THE DEFEATED

Someone could decide to keep quiet over the just concluded election and the potential result based on the published outcome so far, yet it will go down in history as one of the keenly contested election in the country. I saw aged people in my community coming out to cast their votes though some of them may not live to witness or see the realization of the election yet they believe that creating a platform for their children is a necessity. People came out to perform their civic responsibility.
The discussion that eschew between two people in the cab that I entered this morning (30-03-2015) is the birth of this publication. The man started by saying what is change and who is expecting change, he said, people that stole PDP money went to APC and then we believe they are change agent and that they are good people. He went further to say that the change APC preaches is the name change from AD to AC the CAN and now APC. He said it is God that will fight for the masses and not the presidential aspirants.
I just suddenly realized that this is the voiced of the defeated foe; suddenly PDP faithful are saying that APC are not change agents, but what of the people that moved from AD, APC, ANPP to PDP who PDP member are clamouring also as the best. PDP have forgotten that it has not lost the presidential election before, which means it has not go through the stress of all other parties and yet they survived, now that PDP is about to go through this stress, they are using their last straw to castigate everybody. I just hope they will survive it.
I see PDP going through the stress that APP and AD; the other two parties during the 1999 general election went through. Some have prophesied this and others have written extensively on the outcome of Nigeria election. My singular write up is expected to tackle the voice of a defeated person.
General as human, we don’t love defeat and the ability to conceal defeat and congratulate the winner is a great show of sportsmanship. I really thank the president for showing great sportsmanship in the last election.
The voice of the defeated is simply the change of value and voice when someone loss. It is the path of least resistant, it is the path trod by the fearful, it is the path resisted my man of ambition; it is the valley of death for the sworn-destiny-maker.
Desist from it, turn aside from it, go not by it because it derails an achiever from his or her path.
As you set forth to achieve greatness in life, be wary of friends that stays only for the good time and flew away when things change. You may loss at so many juncture in the battle of life but giving in to the voice of the defeated will keep you perpetually in bondage. Go beyond the status quo, go for the height and seek to achieve greatness in life.
God bless you, Nigeria! God bless my country!! God bless Nigeria!!!
